There is a new solo artist on the block however his face will look familiar to a lot of you, especially if you are an avid fan of either The X Factor or the boyband JLS. 18 months after the boyband split the member of the quartet called Aston Merrygold has returned on his own.  If you don’t know who JLS is or who Aston is here is a few bits of information about him.

The band JLS appeared on the UK X Factor in 2008 for the fifth season and have gone on to become the second most successful group ever to come out of the UK version after One Direction. The band was together for 7 years and Aston was famously known for his acrobats and his dancing. When he was part of JLS, they released four studio albums and had five number ones. As well as being part of a popular boy band, Aston has also dabbled in television and has been a judge on Sky 1’s Got to Dance.

The back flipping supreme has in the last month released his first song as a solo artist called Get Stupid with his debut album Show Stopper, to be released in October.  The album has been influenced by Michael Jackson and Prince and this is obvious in his first single.

It is still unsure when Aston or if he will be touring in the New Year, but if the first single is anything to go by, then the album is going to be something special.
