This Saturday there is a new comedy night in town if you are living in Newcastle area, more specifically, West Jesmond. On the 14th November Potts Productions holds it’s first event which is soon to be a regular on going comedy night called The People’s Words. It is an interactive evening where the audience don’t just watch the acts but also have the opportunity to be part of the action as well!


The night is free and it guest stars Jazz-Riot, who are BBC Radio Newcastles best new comedy act of 2015. In past reviews, the group have been described as ‘a viz comic brought to life’ and also as ‘Not actually a comedy act’ The group who define themselves as ‘a ryhiming gobs**e and a jazzing charver have gigged at a variety of places across the North East already including the Live Theatre, Northern stage, The Cluny The Tyne, a village fete, a bikers rally and a hardcore punk festival so you know that you are in for a treat. The event will also be helping to raise money for the group to getting their new DVD and book into process of being made.

So if you have any stories to tell, words to say, poems to read, songs to sing, music to play or comedy to show then why not head along to this event at the British Legion Club. The doors open from 6pm with the event starting at 7:30pm.
