Forgotten Pop! This Week – Pop!

This week we look at a band that was around in the years of 2003 – 2005 that were signed by Pete Waterman to be the next big thing but apparently got dropped by their label because of poor record sales.

Pop! was made up of four members, Glenn Ball, Hannah Lewis, Jamie Tinkler and Jade McGuire. In the United Kingdom they had three hit singles that made it into the top 40 charts during the years of 2004 – 2005. Their debut single ‘Heavan and Earth’ was withdrawn from the single chart because it contained a track whose length was longer than permitted for that format.

Other singles they had included ‘Can’t Say goodbye’ and ‘Serious’.  A cover of the ELO / Olivia Newton John song ‘Xanadu’ was due for release but got pulled due to poor record sales. So here are a few of their songs for you to celebrate and remember the short lived music career of this quartet.
