It was announced this week in the news that the British Music Industry contributed £4.1 billion to the UK economy in 2015 and half of that was due to the success of some artists over seas. The next couple of days we are going to look at a few of these artists who have been linked to this piece of news and how there career has excelled over seas. Today we are looking at the ever talented, Sam Smith.

Sam Smith released his debut studio album in 2014 called In the Lonely Hour and eventually reached worldwide success leading him to being nominated him an array of awards around the world including Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album at the 57th Grammys and Best British Album at the 2015 Brit Awards. The album was the second best selling album in the United Kingdom in 2014 and the third best selling album in the USA in 2015.  A new album has not yet been announced, however he did sing the theme song for the latest James Bond that was released, Spectre.

So, lets take this afternoon to have a look at some of the fantastic music that has been sung and come from the Sam Smith camp.
